Studiowest Mykonos – Product Photo Shoot Concept
Project Type
Photography and Promotional Creatives
Date
August 2024
This was a self-initiated demo project created by Kaiho to showcase our creative direction and execution process. Using Studiowest Mykonos Eau de Parfum as the subject, we developed a complete set of digital assets from scratch—designed as if for a real campaign. The goal was to demonstrate how we approach product photography, brand storytelling, and visual identity building.
Our decisions were guided by a clear brief:
Commercial Appeal – Each visual was designed to captivate, engage, and resonate with the target audience.
Contrast & Clarity – A white backdrop was used to create sharp contrast, highlighting the perfume while introducing controlled negative space.
Product Color Reflection – The bottle’s striking Mykonos blue (#002DB9) was kept central to the identity, ensuring visual consistency.
Negative Space Utilization – Balanced compositions made the product stand out without overwhelming the frame.
Product Focus – Every element in the frame was crafted to draw the eye back to the perfume.
Design Details
Background & Shapes: Inspired by the perfume’s spherical cap, we incorporated circular motifs in posters and billboards. These shapes broke up negative space while echoing the bottle’s design language.
Symbolism: In one execution, we arranged five bottles in the pattern of a dice showing “5”—a metaphor for the fragrance’s five distinct notes. This concept balanced minimalism with storytelling.
Typography: We used Montserrat Semi Bold and Nexa RT Light to complement the perfume’s modern aesthetic. These fonts reinforced brand identity while enhancing readability and visual appeal.
Color Selection: The dominant palette was a clean blue (#002DB9) paired with white (#FFFFFF). This choice emphasized freshness, purity, and bold sophistication.
Outcome
The result was a suite of versatile visuals—ranging from billboard concepts to e-commerce product shots—that isolated the perfume while elevating its presence. These assets are designed to be easily repurposed across official websites, marketplaces, and digital campaigns, ensuring the product maintains its strong visual impact wherever it appears.
